Paralysed in a sporting accident aged 21, Al Moncrieff-Smith feared his travelling days were over. Twelve years on,he has once more proven that, ‘to achieve the possible, you must attempt the impossible’,
successfully crossing Kenya, Tanzania and Zambia in a Land Rover 110, together with able-bodied team mates,
Matt Boddy, Suresh Paul and Terena Bailey.

The expedition set out to promote inclusive adventure travel, disability awareness and conservation in Africa
and the UK, and became much more.

An excerpt from their diary reads: Day 9 - Mwea Mission Hospital: ....During our visit a young girl stepped
forward and said to me "I will never forget the day that you came to our village for the rest of my life". On
reflection I feel that this is the first time that I arrived in Africa. I feel like I have received a lesson in humanity,
which I will always carry with me.
